How we collect, use and disclose your personal and credit information, what rights you have over it, and what to do if something goes wrong.
Stonegate Partners Pty Ltd (ACN 695 914 660), trading as Fifty Finance, collects information about you so that we can arrange finance on your behalf. We handle that information in line with Australia's privacy and credit reporting laws, including the Privacy Act 1988, the Australian Privacy Principles and the Privacy (Credit Reporting) Code.
We collect credit and personal information about you, and where relevant about a company of which you are a director, so we can:
As your broker we need this information to assess your application, choose a suitable credit provider and manage the application through to settlement. If you do not give us the information we ask for, we may not be able to process your application, or we may be limited in what else we can help with.
When you apply, we use your information to assess the application and find a suitable credit provider, lessor or insurer. Specifically, we may:
Your information is used only for the purposes set out here. We do not disclose it to anyone else except with your permission, or where we are permitted or required to by law.
As part of arranging your finance we may carry out tasks for a credit provider that are reasonably necessary to manage the application. When we do that we are acting as an intermediary for the credit provider rather than for you.
A credit provider we submit an application to may disclose information about you to a credit reporting body. Each credit provider publishes, on its own website, details of the credit reporting bodies it uses, how those bodies handle your information, and how you can deal with them directly. That includes asking a credit reporting body not to use your information for direct marketing pre-screening, and asking it not to disclose your information if you believe you are a victim of fraud.
You can ask us at any time what information we hold about you, and you can ask us to correct it if it is wrong or out of date. Contact us at josh@fiftyfinance.com.au and we will tell you what we hold and how to have it corrected. In some cases an administration fee may apply to cover the cost of retrieving records. A copy of this policy is available on request.
We have internal procedures for handling complaints and we would rather hear about a problem than not. Email josh@fiftyfinance.com.au and we will work to resolve it quickly and fairly.
If we have not resolved your complaint to your satisfaction, or you have not had a response from us within 30 days, you can escalate it to the Australian Financial Complaints Authority. AFCA is a free and independent dispute resolution service.
We may update this policy from time to time. The version published on this page is the current one.
